Ariel's Tucson Photo DiaryA recap of our trip to the Gem Show. The stones! The colors! Those sunsets! |
Over 16 years and counting... It's time for me to visit the Tucson Gem show again. A fun sourcing trip full of vintage jewelry, colored stones, beads, crystals, and always an adventure.

This little Aloha cutie came home with me. I die for her little gold chain grass skirt. I'll be squirreling her away for a vintage drop soon.

This Cartier money clip didn't come home with me but I wish it did.

This year I got the concho belt bug and went on a wild goose chase that involved taking a 40-minute uber ride outside of town to a Native American reservation and ended with me hitching a ride back to town with a man named Bear (no cell service on the res). Can't make this up. I snagged a signed Rick Martinez Navajo sterling silver and sleeping beauty turquoise belt and I love it.

Two-story tall amethyst geode. Casual.

My bathtub awaits.

Malachite oh my!

I always find the beachy things. Wherever you go, there you are.

Chill spot to roll calls.

Cutie breakfast spot.

Tucson really turning up the charm.

Ended the trip by looking for nik naks for Mia. I ended up carrying home a literal bag of rocks for her. Same as it ever was.
