A project a longtime coming...
Ariel dreamt of working together with California Closets on making the most of the small closet off her primary bedroom. She partnered once more with California Closets to customize the space, thinking of all of the organizational and storage details to maximize the small space, and turn it into its own little jewel box.Â

"I loved partnering with California Closets again, after working together on building out my WFH guest house in my backyard a few years back. We live in a very old Victorian house in the Bay Area and closet space is at a minimum (while my clothes are at a maximum). I really needed help optimizing every little corner so there was room for both me and my husband. I love that everything has a proper home now: shoes, jackets, laundry, purses, intimates, belts. There is floor-to-ceiling shelving behind the full length mirror. I pull out the little valet rods constantly when I'm putting laundry away or packing for a trip. We opted for the neutral Misty Orchard wood finish (to play against the bright color of my wardrobe). It turned out better than I could have hoped."
"The closet itself is small so I decided to wallpaper the ceiling + the (little) exposed wall space. I matched the roman shade to the same gorgeous Ottoline Chintz print and it actually has the effect of making the small space feel larger because it draws the eyes upward. I had a shag rug made in Morocco with the same hues as the wallpaper to tie it all together. The light fixture is rattan (and so are all the baskets). All my #agjeveryday jewelry is obviously stored in my AGJ Scalloped Floret Jewelry Box (a color inspo for the space). It's such a cutie little gem box."
