 The mission of This Is About Humanity is to provide humanitarian support to families on both sides of the border. We are a community dedicated to raising awareness about separated and reunified families and children at the border. We help educate others on being allies and advocates and through our trips to the border and through our This is About Humanity fiscal sponsorship fund at the International Community Foundation we will help support those individuals with essentials and necessities of living; with access to legal services, mental wellness checkups; as well as fund projects at shelters. We also provide for a range of projects including educational bus trips to the border, donations to legal services, construction projects at shelters as well as material goods for unaccompanied minors.

Our fundraising efforts include hosting dinners for Immigrant Defenders Law Center, Border Angels, Casa Cornelia, and in the fall, Casa YMCA; directing resources to help with construction projects including bathrooms for Caritas, a family shelter; housing for vulnerable communities including LGBTQ; bunk beds for unaccompanied minors; partnering with organizations such as The Little Market, Fwd.US, Goop, Moms Who Care, Ariel Gordon and Clare Vivier amongst others to host awareness-raising conversations and salons, or assist with immediate living essentials such as food and other living essentials.
