With the midterm elections quickly approaching, we've once again joined forces with our friends at I AM A VOTER. to help support their mission to register every eligible voter—and just in time for National Voter Registration Day this September 20th.
Why is voter registration so important?
Every year, millions of eligible voters are unable to cast a ballot because of a missed registration deadline, outdated registration information, or other problems with their voter registration.
In 2022, more than 8 million American who were too young to vote in 2020 will be eligible to vote. (Source: Voter Participation Center)
More than one in five newly eligible voters (ages 18-21) who were not registered to vote said it was because they did not know how. (Source: CIRCLE)
The outcome of this year’s midterms can shift control of Congress. The people you elect will also directly influence what the President can get done.
So what's at stake?
On the ballot in 2022: 35 of 100 seats in the Senate, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, governor seats in 36 states, legislators in 88 of the country’s 99 state legislative chambers, and a wide range of local & special elections.
Why does your vote matter?
